Kit-Kot is a modular and eco-friendly “made in Belgium” living space concept created by ID4care. iol Strategic Design was involved in the industrialization of the concept, guided by the meeting of form and function with an attention to detail inspired by various production processes: machining and assembly of laminated panels, plastic injection, sheet metal bending, aluminum profile extrusion. Numerous aesthetic and technical tricks were refined to adapt to production and assembly possibilities. Adhering to a tight schedule was also a key advantage brought by iol in this collaboration. This mission also included designing the production tools necessary to facilitate assembly in an adapted work environment, followed by rapid installation of the furniture on-site on a large scale.
