For its client Dock Marine Europe, iol undertook a large-scale project: designing a natural swimming area in the Bassin de la Villette in Paris. Based on the floating cube principle distributed by Dock Marine, iol was tasked with considering the assembly of the pools, covering, securing, assembling and disassembling, sourcing suppliers, etc. After an intensive design process and a presence in Paris during assembly to finalize the entire project, the iol team participated in the swimming area’s inauguration in mid-July 2017. Since 2017, the swimming area has been set up for two months in the Bassin de la Villette in Paris, then dismantled and stored for the following year.
